Learn »A NEW GLASSHOUSE FOR DUTHIE PARK
It's going to be an exciting year for the UK, with the London Olympics and the Queens Diamond Jubilee later on in the year. For Cambridge Glasshouse Company, the excitement has already begun. We're kick-starting the new year with the replacement of two large Victorian glasshouses at Duthie Park Winter Gardens in Aberdeen.
After a year in discussion, the installation of the first Victorian glasshouse will begin on Monday 9th January. A challenge for both our design department and installation team, glasshouse number one is 5.4m wide by 15.5m long, has to be sandwiched between two existing glasshouses and butted up to a gable of a further existing glasshouse. Our installation team have limited space in which to work, but careful planning from our designers, managers and the installation team themselves will ensure the first glasshouse goes up quickly and smoothly; fingers crossed the weatherman will give windswept Scotland a reprieve from gale force winds!
